Graduate education at the China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP) began in 1984, and over the past 40 years, it has trained numerous strategic scientific and technological talents for the nation. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of graduate education at CAEP and to fully showcase the educational achievements of the Graduate School's main campus in 2023, as well as to highlight the exemplary role of outstanding graduate students, the CAEP Science and Education Collaboration Center successfully held the 2023 Special Scholarship Graduate Exchange Meeting on March 21, 2024, at the Beijing Software Park campus.

The one-day exchange meeting gathered more than 50 participants, including researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students from the CAEP Science and Education Collaboration Center. Fourteen graduate students who received the first prize of the 2023 Special Scholarship presented impressive reports on their annual research progress. The topics covered cutting-edge fields such as laser nuclear physics, open quantum systems, materials computation, and multimodal imaging algorithms. Their presentations were well-structured and vividly illustrated, sparking lively discussions among attendees.

The successful organization of this exchange meeting is a powerful testament to the vigorous development of graduate education at CAEP. In the new era, the Graduate School remains committed to implementing a distinctive, goal-oriented graduate education program. It focuses on enhancing the quality of talent cultivation by recruiting and training a high-quality, specialized, and innovative team of mentors, promoting science-education collaboration, and emphasizing the development of graduate students' innovative abilities. These efforts have led to high-quality development in graduate education and established a solid foundation for the main campus to play a leading role.

The exchange meeting facilitated academic interactions between faculty and students, created a positive academic atmosphere, honed the students' academic presentation skills, and effectively broadened their research perspectives. In the future, the Science and Education Collaboration Center will continue to host such exchange meetings, making them an integral part of the distinctive research culture at the Graduate School.
