The evaluation meeting for the 2025 China Academy of Engineering Physics (CAEP) Graduate Student “Outstanding Student Scholarship” was held on May 21 at the Software Park Campus. The evaluation committee consisted of 17 experts, recommended by various training units of the Academy and invited specifically for this purpose. Researcher Yangjun Ying from the Beijing Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics served as the chair of the expert panel. Libin Fu, Deputy Dean (Acting Administrative Head) of the CAEP Graduate School, Jianhui Shan, Deputy Dean of the Graduate School, and other relevant staff members from the Graduate School attended the meeting, which was chaired by Deputy Dean Jianhui Shan.
The meeting opened with remarks from Researcher Libin Fu. He noted that the quality of scientific papers published by CAEP graduate students continues to improve, and that scholarship recipients are increasingly serving as peer role models, inspiring more students to engage seriously in research. In recent years, the recognition and participation of training units, supervisors, and students in the evaluation of the Outstanding Student Scholarship have steadily increased, significantly enhancing the scientific rigor and credibility of the selection process.
The Student Affairs Office briefed the expert panel on this year’s scholarship evaluation criteria, detailed rules, and the status of application materials review.
During the evaluation phase, Chair Yangjun Ying led the experts in reviewing, discussing, and voting on applications submitted by 118 graduate students, in accordance with the evaluation guidelines. As a result of the review, 70 students were selected to receive the Outstanding Student Scholarship — 28 receiving the Special Award and 42 receiving the Excellence Award. In accordance with the evaluation procedure, the Graduate School will publicly announce the results for five working days (announcement link: https://gscaep.ac.cn/subPage/subStunfo.html?id=302), after which awardees will be formally recognized and rewarded.
